CityXplorer North America 2013.10 (all the CityXplorers in one file)

With cityXplorer maps you can access all the information you need to get around the city you're visiting on foot or public transport .
If you're visiting a new city on holiday or business, a cityXplorer map downloaded to your nüvi helps you get around just like a local. The enhanced pedestrian mode gives you walking directions, including footpaths and shortcuts through parks, with landmarks indicated along the way. The public transport mode tells you where to catch trains, buses and tubes (where relevant) and how long it will take to reach your destination. cityXplorer public transport timetables ensure you arrive at the station on time and don't have to wait too long for your connection.






This file ,added to your CityNavigator North America 2013.10, will allow you to use pedestrians features and public transports in every big city in NA.
This file will add CXs features to 32 cities in your GPS , many CXS in just one small file

to unlock add an *.unl made with Jetmouse kg. for FID 800 to enhance ped.features and public (NO CNA FID and NO PID 2 IS NEEDED)

to use this file you must have CNAM NT 2013.10 in your nuvi

Copy CXNA 2013.10.img along its CXNA 2013.10.unl in sd in "Map" folder (same name different ext)

It wont show in Map list coz it's just an addon to your CNNA 2013.10

Note:
If you want 3D buildings in your Full CX remove CNA 3D map from .System copy it in sd "Map" folder and rename it to Full CXNA_3d 2013.10.img (same name+_3d and different ext)

Additional infos:

If you have CNA map in your Nuvi use SMALL map, it wont appear in map list ,but it will work just adding cities EPM to your existing CNA.

If you dont have CNA map in your Nuvi, use FULL cx map, it will appear in map list coz you'll have a complete NAcx-cities map in your Nuvi. (SMALL map with just MMR wont work without CNA map)

To test NA CX ,fix the satellites in the city or simulate in one of the cities putting your position in the city.

NA CX.img name and .unl name must be the same ,different extensions- To make the .unl with JM Kg use just FID 800

Both files go in sd in "Map" (not "map" - not Garmin) folder

test3r advised me in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to try the latest version of CityExplorer, 2013.10, since CX NA 2012.30 full didn't work on my nuvi 2360LMT.

I've downloaded both small and full versions of CX 2013.10 from this thread. I've unlocked both, then I copied to internal memory \Map folder the img and unl for the small version. I disconnected my GPS, turned it on and the Pedestrian mode showed Powered by CityExplorer. I switched to pedestrian and chose to go to Fort Lauderdale International Airport which is in about 11 miles driving distance. After pressing Go I've got two options, Drive and Public Transit. I've chosen Public Transit and the GPS started calculating. Unfortunately, what it came up with were the walking directions, turn by turn, from home to the airport. Google Directions using Public Transit would have me take buses 7 and 1 to the airport in 1h 23min.

I tried then the route to Miami International Airport, which is 20 driving miles from home, in pedestrian mode. It took a very long time to calculate, but it came up with the same turn by turn walking directions. Google Directions would have me either take buses 7 and 42 in 1h 41min, or bus 7 and the rail in 1h 44min.

I deleted the small CX NA 2013.10 img and unl and replaced them with the full version of the same package. CX NA 2013.10 DID NOT show in the MyMaps list, but the Public Transit option in pedestrian mode was still available when I chose the route to FLIA. Unfortunately, after calculating it came up with the same turn by turn walking directions, like the small version.

As I mentioned in the other thread, CX EU 2012.40 full works on the same GPS, with unlocked maps from CN EU 2013.10 I've got from Usenet, in the same \Map folder. For whatever reason (I suspect my official version of CN NA 2013.10 as the culprit, but what do I know?) CX NA doesn't work on my nuvi 2360LMT.

I tested these maps yesterday in 34xx and in 1200 with a route in New york and in Atlanta and it worked, anyway now I made a test in my 34xx, with small NA CX coz I left loaded full CNA 2013.10 in it -
In simulation , in Miami, asking for a pedestrian route with public transports.



IMHO it works.

Tested full NA CX in my Nuvi again in Miami, removed CN map, loaded Full CX, it shows in my maps list and it works fine

catymag, it seems that your GPS, at least the one you've made the screen captures from, is an European version. On this nuvi 2360LMT, purchased in US, the CN NA 2013.10 is listed like this:

Your version is "trafficTrends Europe 4.25". Can this have any significance? Also, is your CN NA 2013.10 a gmapprom.img file located in the \.system folder in internal memory, or a gmapsupp.img in \Garmin folder or somename.img in the \Map folder. I'm trying to guess why on my GPS, CX NA looks like it's working, but it doesn't, while the European version works fine.

I have loaded CNNAM 2013.10.img just to test CXs ,I havent loaded any other additional file, that's why I dont have trafficTrends North America 4.25.
I have loaded it in sd / Map folder as CNNAM_2013.10.img
If full CX is not in Maps list ,Nuvi doesnt see it. Something wrong in naming or ....I dont know lol

Oh, I see! You have your CN NA 2013.10 in the \Map folder on SD, as I suspected, while I have it as a gmapprom.img in internal memory \.system folder. My CN EU 2013.10 is ALSO in the \Map folder (not on SD, but it doesn't matter, I think) and CX EU 2012.40 WORKS! I'm ready to bet that if I load CN NA 2013.10 as an unlocked img into the \Map folder, CX NA 2013.10 is going to work as well.

There is a Garmin CN NT 2013.10 on Usenet, but it's 9.3 GB (I think it has all the world maps in there), but I don't feel like tying up my Internet connection for 1.5 hours (we don't have fiber optic Internet here in US, like you guys have in Europe).

There is no naming problem, I just copy and paste the name of one file (img) into the name of the other (unl).

Original Maps files are in Index here and original is better. No need other compilations. These CXs has been a Vanish90's experiment and he keeps on doing it coz it's a nice map.
As explained in all CXs threads here: Copy XXXX.img along its XXX.unl in sd (same name different ext) in "Map" folder.
I hope you can get it working now
PS: in internal memory I have my CNE 2013.10 and full EU CX 2012.40 in sd/Map and it works fine

No problems updating from Full CXNA 2012.30, using small CXNA 2013.10, but full CXNA 2013.10 will not work
on Garmin nuvi 1300.
