    Your problem might not be so much converting a local authority GIS map to a format usable by your GPSMAP62, but in obtaining the accuracy required to identify a property line using it as the sole or primary means.

    Thanks for the response Neil. If I can find the general area of the property line +/-30 feet using GPS then that'll be good enough for my needs. I also suspect I'll be able to locate one or two survey markers and work from those to get even closer to the true lines. But without the GIS map on a GPS I'll be swimming in the dark.

    So with that in mind do you know of any method for moving GIS map content onto a GPSMAP 62?
