Fresh install of Win8 x64, fresh install of GM x64 14.1.7, replaced with contents of this rar, executable does not even launch, results in a direct Crash to desktop. Please consider sharing a non repacked .exe, to eliminate this potential source of issues.

Check the build number of the original installer, it should be b043013.

    Or try this full kit:

Yep, I use the official installer for 14.1.7 build 043013, which installs and launches successfully. But the supposedly "*******/packed" exe shared in post #115 immediately crashes. So far, I can only blame the executable packer for this crash to desktop.

Anyway, 14.2 is just around the corner now.

I used 32bit ver from post #102 for a raster calculation with several map catalogs involved. It took many hours and worked fine.

I have to correct this. There was an issue with this version. The CPU load of the globalmapper process as reported in the task manager of Windows XP SP3 never exceeded 50 while idle process being most times between 30 and 40. Priority was at normal, I didn't change it.

blondboy, you can test the version of post #115? there are equal, but use other packer/compresor software.

I want to see if the problems are caused by packer software.
