If you don't like the results after Mapwel, try a command line utility [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

If you want to experiment with creating Garmin IMG-maps with BMap2MP, but don’t want to hassle with the command-line or text configuration file, and/or don’t have OziExplorer for calibrating the map imagery, the Author added a GUI front-end utility to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] tool that makes BMap2MP easier to use.
