    From its help file:
    The program is developed with python 2.5 under Windows 7 64-Bit. The
    application of python should guarantee no problems with other Windows versions. If
    missing the icon library 'MapTk.dat' an empty file with default preferences is written.

    Anyway iconlib.dat file should remove the error.
    I've no problems in my 7x64.

    It works now, interestingly enough the mentioned info (MapTk.dat) has vanished itself, no need anymore for a local exorcist...as you said the "magic stick" was the iconlib.dat...
