The files is clean and safe to extract.
Chrome would have still saved it in the designated folder as 'Unconfirmed xxxxxx.crdownload' where 'x' are numbers. Change the extension from .crdownload back to .exe and it will self-extract with 7Zip [or if you prefer use .rar and extract with WinRar] and you'll have the gmapsupp.img file. The mapset and version name is 'GMapTool All' but you can change that to whatever you want with GMapTool or ImgTool.
