Yes, you are right. Thanks for the link.

Yesterday i tried to install entire cn2012 in the phone. I thought i did every steps ok, but the map didn't work.

Thanks to the link you provided me i already know that maps greater than 2gb can not be readed by the phone.

So i sent a little part of cn2012 to the phone and worked ok.

    Regards.

That's good, if you know how to make smaller image maps from your PC gmap folders using MapSource or MapInstall then you would also know how to combine them joining smaller maps together up to the 2GiB limit. You can then have up to 3 image files for detail maps (gmapprom.img; gmapsupp.img; gmapsup2.img) giving you [theoretically depending on total map tiles] up to ~6GiB in total if you've got the card space. Caty's generic naming tutorial [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] works fine with XT except i don't think the trick in 5) will work, at least not for me when i've tried it. Have fun messing around with it! BTW you mention CN 2012, i assume you're referring to the full EU map 2012.20 which is over 2.2GB, so this post 31 may save you some work: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I can't say for sure whether this software works for sure or not anymore. I tried installing Garmin XT onto my Magellan device (found a patched version that runs on WinCE 6.0, found it thx to Obiwan2208) tried this software but am coming up short when I run the program again with the new sw.unl file generated (you can't run the internal gps without the correct unlock code and recognition by the program). I made sure there is no extra spaces or other characters in the UNL file. Do capitals matter in the file name? I have attached a photo of my file directory but I don't think it will make a difference. The device ID is 1701273933 but every unlock code is a different generation. Trying to grab a card ID is also kind of hard. I have tried putting the SD card's serial number from my Garmin DriveSmart 50 and pulling up the Data Card Test Page but upon doing so, it screws up the directory and I have to reformat the card, install new version etc. (even then with the new code it doesn't work) To sum up possible conclusions to my problem that haven't worked:
    1. The program cannot recognize the unl file (most likely)
    2. The program is not reading the correct unl file
    3. The unl file is not in the right directory (unlikely)
    4. There are two exes to run: 'Que.exe' (found in /Apps/WM/) and 'Garmin.exe' (found in /GMXT) and I'm not using the correct one.
    5. The Garmin folder is named 'Garmin XT' and not 'Garmin'
    6. The program is being a jackass...
    Untitled

Note: This is a Magellan RoadMate 5220 running jailbroken on MioPocket 4.0 r63 and Garmin XT is 5.0.0.20wp. Again Device ID is 1701273933 (the one found in the 'About' section in the program.
