We should contract out Caty [who does indeed rock] to Garmin support who want to charge AU$199 + shipping to supply a 'refurbished' exchange 3790 for this same problem experienced by out-of-warranty units. Seems a good system, their software breaks the unit and then they change you to fix it. Reminds me of a crooked glazier who used to slip a card under the door of local businesses and then the next night chuck a rock thru their front window.
In all fairness though, Garmin do give a 3 months warranty and it's also the same exchange charge even if your nuvi has been run over..gif "lol")

Hi guys,
I converted my 3790T to 3490, but I reverted back to 3790 because of the infamous satellite reception issue. Now, I don't know why, I lost many functions of the GPS (3D buildings, Videoplayer, bluetooth, ecc.)!
The GPS About says "nuvi 37xx". Unfortunately I don't have a backup of NV41 (I modded before the backup post...).
Caty, can you do the miracle for me, please...?

My circumstance is identical to gabchs, including being a new subscriber. My 3790T locked up, restarted and is now very Plain Jane (37xx displayed), no bluetooth or voice. If someone (read Catymag here
) could help me, I would be most appreciative.....

That screenshot with your Unit ID needs to be sent by Private Message only. By posting it publicly, you risk your unit being cloned by someone. Big problem particularly if you have LifeTime Maps! Caty can retrieve the link even thought i've removed it though.
