No Updater for Linux, you should use wine.

I tried with wine but not install.I installed only, gmaptool, anyway thank you very much, I'll use the other computer with windows

Korabi71 has the nuvi 1440 (I think) and the app WebUpdater serves much more, as well as update the firmware

Thanks for the guidance.
As I am a linux user myself, I do not have a Web Updater. But I checked Garmin's site for the Web Updater, and this is what they promise:
New member a bit confused now, sorry...WebUpdater only updates unit software.

Yes...is correct!!WebUpdater only updates unit software.
Everything you need to update the nuvi software, even some kind of map
Basically you can update other kind of software even some additional maps ,with Webupdater
