    OK.. unfortunately this is not making any sense to me & i know some of the history of your 1300. The 'Extra\GPS folder', where is it on the unit? Did you add it at some point? Maps on the unit should only be in either '.system' or 'Map', both of which are root folders. If you don't have a 'Map' folder (it doesn't exist usually you create it), your base & detail maps must be in .system, but i've seen [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and neither base nor detail map are in .system or they would show as 'Basemap' & 'PROM 1' respectively in Inventory. So where are your 2 preloaded maps ie: gmapbmap.img (basemap) & gmapprom.img (US lower 49 States) and came with your US purchased 1300? Don't you have a 'Map' folder? Are you saying you only have map images in the 'Extra\GPS' folder named gmapsupp.img and gmapsup2.img?(my emphasis added). 'gmapsuptn' is a typo & you meant 'gmapsup2' i'm thinking . You need to post some screenprints of your nuvi root folders, and of any folders both on your nuvi & sd that have maps, expanded to show files so we can see what's going on and make sense of this. Connect your nuvi via usb and do a windows search on it & sd for '.img' first to see where the maps are.

    @birdjay
    Don't remove gmapbmap.img, because that is your basemap (garminmapbasemap. You unit won't function correctly without it. Read up here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and particularly this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and this one: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (Post #3), and also read Post #1 of the current thread fully, taking particular note of catymag's warning:
    Please only delete the files recommended. Do not delete any other files or you may corrupt the software in your nüvi
    Please don't post any more basis questions until you've done a lot of reading.
