When you read that thread which was spun-off from here, you'll see that Fugawi only reads Garmin 'legacy' (non-NT) image format (Roger would call that 'standard' - Private joke) . It doesn't read Bluecharts, NT, or even pseudo-NT (quasi-NT).

Roger, over and out.
Oh dear me! This is SO far OT that I would trash my own post if i was a Mod, but that is wrong and conflicting terminology perpetuated by American cop shows. In correct radio-telephone voice procedure, civil & military etc, these are the meanings of those common prowords:
'Roger' means "I have received your last transmission satisfactorily (and understood it)" (So far so good, we know it was really just a pun by drammer on the nick of roger1109)
'Over' means "This is the end of my transmission to you and a response or answer is necessary"
'Out' means "This is the end of my transmission to you and no response or answer is required or expected"
Ergo: 'Over' and 'Out' used together is a nonsense.
Sorry Caty/ddabcd277 et al, got it out of my system now... trash away.

So why don't you use nRoute? You can use g2 maps in combination with Homeport / nRoute if you split the g2 maps (or .img topo maps) with GmapTool + cGPSMapper, unlock the resulting map with mapsource unlocker and install the map via the bat file.
This method is also interesting if you use just Homeport: you don't need a flash card.
As the graphics support of nRoute is a bit old you don't get the eye-candy Homeport offers but all the navigation info is there.
Yep, thought that might work, so tried exactly what you said, great to see the VEU706L-V14 in Homeport without sd card. But........ can not get nRoute to hold a gps signal from my 76 cx. this happens on OS Vista, running in XP mode connected to usb, and also on another laptop OS XP also connected by usb.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am unable to find any info on nRoute on the forum. I would have thought the nRoute program would have been listed in the Garmin programs sticky ?????? maybe I need to change my
