Guys, 205 needs just the gmapsupp.img. test the downloads and continue downloading just the smallest one

Addition: the unit I bought in Europe- that means european firmware. I also don`t know which Type A-D to use on nuvi 2545LT

Confused! I just bought a nuvi 2545 LT and I don`t know the folder where to downloaded maps to. Different from my former 205w there are no visible files like gmapsupp, gmapprom anymore. In which folder are they hidden and how can I see them? Is it still possible to copy maps directly to the unit? I hope at least installation of the maps via Garmin folder of the SD card it´s still possible but it would be better to copy directly to the unit. Sorry, I know it´s the wrong place to ask this question but I just try to install the Indonesia map, that´s why I´m here

Hidden directory cannot read. I also cannot see the hidden directory on my 3450.
However, I create directory root\Map and put the map here.

type D is oke to try,
you may try also Indonesia Navigasi for this device.
I put both type D and Indonesia Navigasi to my Nuvi 3450 and it work well. Only JCV file is not work.

You Can Also Use Unlocked image from post [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Use An Sd Card Create a Folder called Map and copy the unlocked image to this folder.

Never use Nuvi internal memory for First Test on a New Map, If the file happens to be corrupt you can brick Nuvi. !

Thank you. I just want to delete the Europe map (more than 2 GB) I purchased together with the unit because I´m not living in Europe. The space I like to use to add maps of other countries in Asia I sometimes travel to. Last year I bought Garmin SE-Asia and 2 other maps. As far as I understang you I cannot add all these legal purchased maps at the same time, I can just copy them to a folder named Garmin at the SD card and the unit can just read the one map named gamapsupp.img. Via SD card it`s working, even without more spoonfeeding through this forum
Anyway: for Indonesia there is no need to use Garmin CN. Use navigasi.net which is free, far more detailed and which covers the whole country and not only some selected areas what CN is doing.

Dapat download dimana? 2012.30? Anybody knows where to download the file Indonesia 2012.30. Let´s hope there will be an advantage compared to 2012.20 that the quality of the map will come closer to navigasi.net If the map is better than navigasi I like to purchase it
