Maybe Garmin wants to Brick a Lot of Nuvi's to Keep Noemans.org busy or maybe just to sell new Nuvi's for XMAS.

@dasilvarsa
They may well 'brick' a lot of units, no real problem for us of course but they will p**s off a LOT of layman users if they don't fix this real quick. I know you were being humourous, but the cynical view that they are doing it intentionally to sell more units doesn't wash of course. They will go thru some real pain and will have the blame fairly and squarely laid at their door. The garmin techs will be clocking overtime if it keeps going. This is purely a cock up by someone and it will be interesting to see how widespread it is. Many units will probably simply not load the wrong fw, but some may.

I see it is export of Russian nano-teleology. On all roads and topo maps from Navicom (one of dealer in Russian) we see this the Deluge in all region. What is interesting the people brought device to a service and damns Garmin developer and not map creators.
