Thanks a lot for this. It didnīt work for me to install the map en start the reg-file (win7). I used MapSetToolKit to put the map in MapSource and that seems to work.

It's a good solution too, but if you turn off UAC in Windows 7 you could use .reg file (many MapSource installation are with adding registry keys)

I followed your instructions:
installs in mapsource
winrar
copy fam_1088 to c:\garmin>ececute land navigator italia v1.reg
unlock with keygen--id =1088
Everything went smoothly, but I cannot get the keygen step working. I can generate a 25-byte key based on MapID and UbitID. I see the locked map in Mapsource. If I try to unlock it it sends me online to Garmin, but this website only accepts 20-byte unlock keys.
Can you point me to a tutorial?
