    Default Parche GPS

Sorry but I do not speak English too thin. I hope you understand me as much as possible.

GPS models that can be patched: Colorado, Dakota, Oregón, GPSmap 62x/78x, Edge 800.

    1. Download firmware GPS model. If is a .exe open with Winrar, winzip,... and see where is the folder where is the file GUPDATE.GCD

    2. The patcher can be downloaded here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Drag GUPDATE.GCD in the program and it will be patched. Rename again a GUPDATE.GCD the .GCD parched

    Hi,
How to downgrade firmware for edge 800, my fw currrent version is 2.1 ? I have to install factory firmware first, before the patched one. Someone can tell me where i can find it ? It seems to install fw patched 2.1 (gupdate.gcd) doesn't work when there is the same version already installed.
Help please, i'm out of ideas..

You have to install a higher version patched to which you have (2.1), but to the edge 800 there is no update. You can not patch it.
Yes, doesn't work when there is the same version.

As far as I have understood, you can use RGN Tool [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to modify the fw version number. You should have the official gupdate.gcd of the ver 2.1, patch it and assign to the patched fw a new version, say 2.11
I believe that now it recognises it as a newer version and loads
BE CAREFUL: RGN Tool is useful, but, if misused, you can brick your unit: USE IT IF YOU ARE FULLY CONFIDENT!!

Ok, great ! that's exactly what i need.
If by misfortune it doesn't work, i can install official firmware to cancel brick unit ?
It would reassure myself if the operation is reversible
and sorry for my english !
