Post here please your help request regarding Garmin

Hi,
I have been following the step guide, i dont think the ovi suite allowed me to install onto the phone Garmin in the first step, im going to retry the whole thing again, im really sorry for this I am really bad at using apps etc dont really know what im doing lol

The Garmin icon, runs all i get is the start up screen and then closes is that because i havent yet placed the maps in. on my computer a garmin folder was created with sub folders witin such as voices, apps, font, GPX etc should this not be in the phone itself??? as the garmin folder in the phone only contains the files firmware, help and voice also a GMAPBMAP.IMG.

I know this folder should also be in the phone, but how do i put it in there, via the E: drive just copy and paste it?? and into the garmin folder or empty the contents into the garmin folder in the fone already as they would clash otherwise?

Hope that makes sense

im currently donwloading the MAP the part 1 and part 2 files from 2shared i hope they are correct ones also as they are taking ages to download due to size of file lol

Can i replace the preloaded maps on my nuvi 1310? If yes how should i procede? Ive google it but could find any reliable answer

cant unlock City nav NA 2011.10 3d. I use jetmouse with the latest fix...Cant unlock. Thanks

patch your mapsource and you'll be able to do it or use the standalone installation unlocked

yes, backup it on your pc than replace it with the unlocked img-rename it like your previous one
read this to copy it in maps folder

if you dont install the sis from your phone the app isnt installed completely and cant open, you'll have just the splash screen and will close
please read the guide

Thanks catymag!!! i had seen this tutorial, just didnt know u coukd actually replace the preloaded maps, thought wouldnt work or smtg!!

The sis file, do i need to install this (copy and paste in the phone) then open it through the phone?? or as im doing which is through the pc suite software OVI suite which installs it (the app says not compatible with phone but continue anyway)

Im going to re-delete everything again and have a go again will let you know hopefully this time i get it right

why dont you follow the guide?? even a kid can do the job following it step by step
the sis file will be in your phone root , it's enough to run it from your phone,as explained, but if you dont want to read the guide I cant explain it better-- sorry

i am following the guide, somewhere something is going wrong in the beginning garmin install, i think when it goes through ovi suite it gets messed up
