The Route for cyclists and walkers in Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (later in the text Luxembourg) allows a route to determine a computer that the user is preferably guided by bicycle and / or pedestrian-friendly roads. The user can then be calculated route to a Garmin GPS device that will lead him by this route. The route also works on the GPS itself: enter a destination into the GPS and he will lead you to this destination preferably by bicycle and / or pedestrian-friendly roads, like a GPS in the car on the road helps along motorways.

Cycling

Provides digital topographic map detail comparable to 1:50,000 scale.
Contains 3-D data for MapSource® and compatible Garmin devices.
Includes roads, paths, and Points of Interest such as train stations, land use information and coutour lines.
Provides cycling itineraries that are often surveyed directly in the field.
Includes a specific cycling network complete with other itineraries suitable for cycling.
Allows for cycling on other roads not included in cycling itineraries.

Walking

Provides digital topographic map detail comparable to 1:50,000 scale.
Contains 3-D data for MapSource® and compatible Garmin devices.
Includes roads, paths, points of interest, land use information, and coutour lines.

Hello, the files in post 1 are more than 400 MB, the file in post 3 is almost 200 MB. Both are for MapSource. What is the difference?

This is not Routeplanner for Walkers, but for cycling and walking. I've been using this one for 3 years, and it really sucks to go walking or cycling, unless you want to make a trip of 50 km where the shortest distance is 18 km. It is completely useless for walking, it doesn't even contain the most important walking tracks in Belgium. I bought this one, and I regret it - a waste of money. The Routeplanner for Walkers must be much cooler, because it contains all the walking tracks.

You could better use the Tope Benelux for walking, while waiting for Routeplanner for Walkers.

I totally agree with Tureluur, this routeplanner is better for cyclists than for walkers. I also bought it for planning walking trips but it lacks a lot of walking tracks. I use it now for planning mtb trips, for which it is very suitable.

Just wanted to say thanks for this resource - massively helpful after trawling across the internet to find what I was after. I often find that looking for a decent walking route planner
