    danger Garmin Edge 1030 doesn´t connect to the Garmin Express

    My Garmin 1030 was working perfectly until end last year. One day attempted sync one activity through Garmin Connect and failed.

    When I connected it in PC showed me this:

    Garmin Support (US/Canada) said me that the unit need to be replaced because is APAC version and they don't access to more data about it.

    Can I recover the connection it with Garmin Apps (Express and Connect)?

    You just have to wait for them to fix the problem, no one else can help you

    Actually - this means that they have discontinued support for that generation of devices. This is done at the server level. Nothing new, the typical support lifespan is maxx 10 years.

    And about the problem: my Garmin Edge 1030 is asian pacific version, is there possible modify the firmware to Express recognise it?

    I don't think it will help you, I mentioned lifespan.
    If it does, it will probably take a few more months

    It's not a software problem - SERVERS no longer communicate with such devices

    Be aware that LIFETIME support, which is often advertised, does not mean that it will be there until the end of your life.
    It actually means until the expected work life of the device, maximum 10 years, more often even shorter than that.
