There could be a corrupt file on the data card, use a data card with only a single 'known-good' map or no card at all to see if it starts properly. If that doesn't help, the firmware may be causing the problem. When connected to a PC, check it can it be seen by Device Manager under "GARMIN Device", or by WebUpdater or Updater.exe. Note that the PC first must have [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] loaded. If it is recognised properly, try again to load the same firmware, this time as an RGN file using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
