Default Begining of instructions is cut

    Hello,

I have an Igo Nextgen and the begining of each sentences is cut (natural voices and tts) I believe it's related to the audio system (in car gps) more than the igo softward however I was wondering if it could be solved by adding a delay or something. I tried many changes in sys.txt with no result (queue_lenght, speech_delay).

Do you know other settings that I can modify ?

I was also wondering if it would be easy to add an extra word in the begining of some tts instructions so the remaining would be heard

🤔 already tried it with all stream variables/values (SYS.txt)
🤔 already tried it with other better voice/lang files
🤔 already checked all TTS engine settings / other engine

    [android]
    navigation_audio_stream = 4 ; or other num
    ;STREAM_VOICE_CALL - Value: 0
    ;STREAM_SYSTEM - Value: 1
    ;STREAM_RING - Value: 2
    ;STREAM_MUSIC - Value: 3
    ;STREAM_ALARM - Value: 4
    ;STREAM_NOTIFICATION - Value: 5
    ;STREAM_BLUETOOTH - Value: 6
    ;STREAM_DTMF - Value: 8

I tried several voices (naturals and tts) even in different langages, the first word of the sentence is cut. I tried two diferent engines also. I think the audio systeme of the car needs a short time to play the sound and therefore the first word is not heard. I tried to change the audio stream with the settings you gave me but the problem remains.

I think the best would be to edit the tts voices files to add an extra word for instance instead of "in 100 meters..." to add an "and" so it would say "And in 100m..." Therefore if the first part is cut I woukd hear "In 100m..."

Can someone tell me which file to modify and how ?

    Thanks

I once read in a forum that a certain ROM of a RadioNavi causes problems with the voice output, maybe that is the cause 🤔

I have a similar problem with my smartphone Redmi Note9 since upgrading to And.13.
But it's not a problem for me, because I always take a quick look at the display when an announcement is made and know what was actually said 🙂
I come from a time when the only sound output was a bing 🙂

    Android?

As for any android based device, far all included apps (tts is also app)
    - Check all permissions
    - turn off all power restrictions
    - work in the background without restrictions
    etc

And again, the device UI and launcher can cause problems despite everything

I don't think it's a software problem, i'm convinced it's hardware, something related to the speakers, a short electronic delay between the moment it receives the sound signal and the moment the sound is played.

However I found how to add an extra word in the instructions : instructions are in \config\config_database.lua and it can easily be edited with Notepad
