i have a device with a messed up software, unfortunately i have no gupdate file to recover it, if you can upload any of aera 500 .gcd that would be a great help. Thank you!

Thank you. unfortunately having no success recovering the unit. after updater.exe finishes flashing software device disconnects from usb with communication error from updater.exe i have tried both cure and original rgn's. any idea what else i can try? flash drive itself is okay since i was able to format it with usbprep. device is stuck on the boot loop, and yes i created garmin folder after formatting it so that's not the issue.
EDIT: after some hesitation it finally worked. what helped was disconnecting the unit during the update process and quickly connecting it back in pre-boot mode.Last edited by northarrow; 27th March 2024 at 10:15 AM.
