Not sure how to say this, but I accidentally deleted the software that was on both chips in car radio (china knock off) (unbranded). my gps does absolutely nothing and my music will not display the songs on the radio (which it did earlier). Not too worried about the music thing, but the gps is driving me nuts. Im not a computer genius;
so is there any possible way someone can tell me how or where/what to download the software needed for the micro chip to be able to use it again?
I know very little about the software, but I think I have noticed in my research that it needs igo software and I live in the states.

A complete reset of your device ?
No music has nothing to do with gps.
If a complete reset does not help I'm afraid your device is broken.
I think this forum is not the right place to ask btw.

This is quite unclear.
I would say he needs firmware, but ... Maybe his launcher was on the micro SD card among other things (nav software) so he wants that content. Maybe the device is defective. Without adequate, real, accurate and precise information, we can only guess.
It is not necessary to be a computer or technical genius, but you should definitely know what you bought and how to use it.
User manual, and then everything else
If you need firmware to flash the unit contact the manufacturer.
If the content you need is on sd card it is still there I guess ? Take out the sd and open it on the PC to check
if e everything is there.
Simpel.
But if you want real tips provide us with more info and what you mean by software for the chips ( both chips ??? ) ?

Its UNBRANDED p.o.s. from china (bought for 70$. It was working fine when I got it. My Teenager took the chip out (there are two chips. 1 for music and one for gps) she took out the gps chip and erased all information on it (firmware, software, maps etc... Its wiped clean) I tried fixing it by putting iGo maps back on, but the gps button does nothing. From youtubes that I have watched there is (folders) that I am missing. (poi, umm,,, maps and a bunch others.)
My user manual tells me nothing;
Spot #16: G-sd: gps-sd card interface, used to read gps navigation map files (9601G)
I know 100% that Im missing a file "Primo.exe" Does that help?
you just need to figure it out the structure of the name of the navigation folder and for the exe file. Usually it's Navigation\Navigation.exe or Mobilenavigator\Mobilenavigator.exe. But regarding to the previous posts I'm not even sure if your unit is still operational and only navigation app is missing or it's not working at all (radio, media etc..)
It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer. (Albert Einstein)
IMO this won't be any different than it used to be with the PNA:
The navigation path/Navigations.EXE had to be selected or entered in the configuration of the device.
Correct: with iGO it was usually Mobilenavigator.EXE. Accordingly, the proven Automappa.exe could also be renamed and used as a navigation tool.
!* but if, for example, a Mortscript with SystemInformation was its own start procedure on the SdCard, then it becomes difficult without exact knowledge 😒

OK when you say took the chip out you mean the 2 SD cards.
Below is the pages from the manual that refers to the what you call chips and all other functions.
Spoiler: Radio interface and what each item does
Spoiler: more info on what item does what.
Why you or your teenager took out the 2 SD Cards and formatted them is not very clear.
Nr.13 is the USB interface
Nr.14 is to reset the radio back to default.
Nr.15 is the SD card for music
NR.16 is the SD card for GPS
From what I read from the manual you can download the GPS software.
Spoiler: The full manual
If I were you I would go over the manual a couple of times to help you correct what you need to do.

Well, if we're already leaning out of the window with the "help" without knowing details of the device itself and configuration, then again from me:
If the part was purchased from AliExpress or Ebay, you can write to the seller/shop directly via the online store and ask for help.
Otherwise I can only recommend for a total layman in the field to equip a tablet or smartphone with one of the many navigation apps and then use it when driving - the easier and better way to success guaranteed 👍😉

Conclusion: I think we are now waiting for an answer from the user, whether one of us could help him 🤔 everything else would be advisable
