    Yes I will do so.
    Problem now diversified from original.
First I suspect that something is going wrong during running the APK so I'll try another.
But I will also make a summary if and when the problem is solved.

    Edit:

So to start from the beginning. I bought a Junsun Head Unit with Android 11 for my car on Aliexpress.
It fits right in the dashboard and everything is working fine except the pre-installed iGO

I have filled in the "before asking any problems" below:

    - What is Device that you have problem with? Junsun 7" Head Unit with Android 11
    - What is device screen resolution / 1024*600
/ what is application (software) resolution in portrait and landscape mode (for Android)?
    - Whether the device is rooted or not (for Android based devices)?
    - Which version of Android (Or WinCE) ? Android 11
    - Which version of the navigation software, exactly? iGO NextGen 9.18.27.719974 - Nov 2017 - version 31. January 2018 skin by Pongo
    - Where the navigation software is (internal / external memory)? Internal
    - Which edition of maps and extras? HERE_2021.Q4_211124
    - Whether the use of the skin (which)?? No skin
    - something about a specific addition that you may use; None
    - and, finaly, detailed description of a problem.

iGO is starting up normally as it should and I can set up language, voice etc but when I exit the program it doesn't remember the settings after I exit the program.
Every time I start navigation I have to set up as first start.
Permissions in APP info is rights to location and storage

I hope above is enough to point me in the right direction

    This is contradictory

Use clean package from the Forum.
Pre-installed iGO - not original for sure.

Does the device have a separate slot for a GPS card?
    Is it definitely android 11?

The question remains how the device's internal memory is defined, as independent storage or as an extension of the system memory.
This is often a problem with such devices.

It is also possible that the modified apk requires a card.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

    Yes all-right but I didn't add a skin myself

It is definitely Android 11 system version V12.1.1_20220707.145346_JUNC2 stated in the system information

There are no SD card slots, only a USB port.

The APK was working fine with the internal memory until I messed it up.

In file manager the path where all files are located is:
    /storage/emulated/0

You wrote in Post#9 about a "save file" ?
That must also be a folder.....remove it

    The path is correct

    Great!
    That did the trick.
I removed the file and now settings are stored
    Many thanks
