Navigator PRO VS OSMAND+
"This application is based on OsmAnd project under the GNU GPLv3 license and uses high quality data from OSM."
I compared the Navigator PRO against the OSMAND+ Pro
The only redeeming factor to Navigator PRO is it uses the same maps that Osmand does.
I even configured Navigator PRO to use the same folder as Osmand for it's maps
See screen shots.
Now from that point on the Navigator PRO does not hold much water to the OSMAND.
Example:
You are not able to list the GPX files like in Osmand does.
Osmand has a folder for tracks and automagically lists them when you add tracks to the folder.
With Navigator PRO you have to search your smartphone for a GPX files it does not find them automagically.
Then missing the tracks folder like in OSmand
Navigator PRO which is some what a clone of Osmand but missing many items.
These were just some of the things I found when it comes to Navigator PRO VS OSMAND+
As a paid user of Osmand you are better off using it instead of Navigator PRO.
These comparisons were done with both in the walking mode.
If users would like to know how if fairs in bike more or driving mode I will do a Navigator PRO VS OSMAND+ too.
Navigator PRO is a cheaper version of Osmand but if you can get a full working GPS app then go for Osmand.
PS:
The title of post 1 needs to remove version number and have it just say Navigator PRO
Reason Navigator PRO is up to v3.x.x already
