    @Fa_Piter
    Would you also be so kind as to supply me with a copy of the dumped region 14 (0x0E) V5.90? It will be fine to post it here in open forum too, no rule break and may help some other users too. TIA.

    Of course.

    Haha, my phat phingers again! Yes, 7.90. Upload to a free site like mega/zippy/anon if you'd rather not attach here. See PM from me also.

    I solved it by creating a different approach, without creating a hybrid firmware, but rather flashing the region after having previously eliminated the Region Check. In my opinion this method is safer.

    @GK3000
    Normally i'd agree that with statement at least in a very general sense. However in Fa_Piter's particular case he already had V5.80 bootloader and x-loader flashed to his device so it was in fact quite safe to load a non-patched (original) 14.bin from V5.90 (albeit one dumped from device). A region-patched fw_all.bin from actual V5.80 fw also using it's own boot.bin/ldr.bin to flash is quite safe too. Both methods carry only a very slight risk imo.

    I also bought Alpha 100, obviously with v 7.90. I gave it to a friend to install birdseye and he downgraded it to v7.70 patched and now my compass doesn't work. Is the any chance to get hybrid version of 7.90 from you guys, so I can try to fix compass?

    Here is hybrid RGN to flash via [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] mode:
    Spoiler:
    Extract this ZIP file to find 156201000790.rgn: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    WARNING NOTE: The attached compressed file contains V7.80 boot.bin and V7.90 fw_all.bin made from a trimmed region 14 dump. It has not been tested by me as i don't have an alpha 100 to hand. User assumes all risk by its use.

    @Butters
    Which is "safer" ? This method by Updater-preboot mode etc or convert this file to gcd (RGNtool) and just drag an drop in webupdater?

    @kagourakos
    Using an RGN is marginally safer imo PROVIDED THAT the file's safe-naming of XXXX01000xxx is respected. That's because the relevant regions are flashed directly from an RGN whereas the use of a GCD file adds an extra step, firstly the GUPDATE.GCD file is written to the device, then it's detected by the device's software on next boot and if found to be a version higher than the fw already loaded it will be initiated to flash the relevant regions. Should the GCD file be corrupted during transfer or it's incomplete it may soft-brick the device due to the device not being able to properly 'read' it during the boot cycle. That results in a boot-loop, spontaneous powering off or freezing on splash screen. Rarely happens and easy to fix of course anyway.

    Garmin Alpha 100 7.90 released. It works fine as a patched version too.
