Hey all,
Does anyone around here have experience with updating the maps of a Pioneer Avic Z series?
It is usually done by creating a synctool folder on a usb drive by the head unit.
The content is used for NaviExtras Toolbox to see which device is "connected".
I've searched around the forum, but have not found someone with a similar device.
I know for sure it is running iGO navigation, as it says it in the loading screen on the head unit.
The latest maps available in the NavieExtras toolbox are HERE maps.
I've downloaded the latest HERE maps from this subforum and placed them on the usb stick, but the radio says the update is incorrect.
Can someone help me out with a step by step guide on how to do this?
Thanks in advance!
PS. If it is in the wrong place or a duplicate thread I'll move or remove accordingly.
I've done some research but did not find anything.

Thanks for the quick reply! Really appreciate it.
I came across that website, but they don't list my unit. Should I continue the request there?

I asked my question a while ago, but the forum seems to be inactive.
Anyone here who might be able to help me?
The devices are very specific, I'm afraid no one else can help you.
Patience...
You have two options.
1. Purchase igo maps from the official server and update with synctools- cca 100€
2. Purchase a maps on e-bay + sw script and update from the USB stick-cca 20€- with this method you can later put new folders and edit the root of navi headunit.
You can't mix options
