Sony NV U52F update - SOLVED

Hello friends. I found à old sony GPS nv u52f and I wait to update this. I see un YouTube, some persons install mio pocket un this GPS. Can somebody help me. Thank you. I Am à French guy

1-On the PC, you have to make the hidden folders visible:

2-Then it is necessary to install Windows Mobile Device:

thanks i launch igo but i don't have space with the internal memory to install maps. the gps only have 500mb storage. its possible to have a igo very lite?

Put only maps that you really need.
Also, iGO 8 do not recognize a lot of file types. Put only fbl and poi. And buildings.

When i finish downloading (limited speed from host) i will tell you what else you can remove

Edit:
There are already Andora, Gibraltar, Spain, Portugal files... (from 2014), in archive. Remove them all.
Remove voice (and lang) files that you don't use. Car bmp files...audio files.
Core player is not needed at all. There is also one mp3 song

After all of this, iGO8 folder will be around 32MB...you can add enough files.

I delete the file Andorra etc... But the folder france is more that 400mb and in the internal memory i have only 200mb with the folder sony skin igo(no map)

Actually, France HERE 2019.Q2 files, 3dc, 3dl, fbl and poi are 294MB.
Other files are useless for iGO8.

Mounted Volume folder after all removal, is 40MB.

I forgot. I have a sony memory card 2gb. I transfert all files igo maps etc...in the memory card but igo dont recognize the card

iGO or device do not recognize it?
In device > IGO 8 > content > map > put only basemap.fbl. Use - download [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Format card o FAt32. Make folder addons in root of card. Then in it create folder content. Then transfer all other files in it, respecting the nomenclature, as it was in the internal memory (buildings, map, poi).

If you're interested, here's a interface and two browsers, ready to work with the MemoryStick. (does not have maps).
The TomTom map should look elsewhere, here on the forum TomTom maps are not allowed, you must look for version France_1040_9849. When you have the map, delete the Cspeech files, after deleting the Cspeech files you have to activate the map and you're done.
