Been testing this app from the very first version and never had any problems with the map position not correct or slow to adjust.

Have tested it on many smartphones.

What smartphone are you having problems with?
Android version?
Is it rooted?

What other apps are running at the time. (whatsapp, facebook, etc, etc)
Using Bluetooth and with what?

Where you are driving is there high building, over head electric wires or just a bad area for GPS?

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 128GB, android 9.0 miui 11.0.4, not rooted

all Apps closed, no high buildings

I tested the 1.18.1 Go version and no problem of slow positioning

Works good on a OnePlus6 with Oxygen 10.3.0 OS. As I speak i get very small incremental map updates. Check your Map folder!
Now every country has the capital city in capitals. Like AMSTERDAM, LONDON, BERLIN.
The maps updates consist items like new roads, closed roads, one way traffic changes, but also maximum speed changes on different road types!

edit: after updating the maps Tomtom states, there are updates. This went off >> after restarting the app.
