    Spoiler: Tips & Tricks

    Curvy roads (winding route)
    From version 1.9 of the Motor Edition, two new route methods have been added, "Touristic" and "Inside". Just like in other navigation systems, the results, certainly in the Netherlands, are not always great. There are a number of things you can do to adjust or improve the results:

    1. Adjust your Quick menu and set the "Alternative routes" option here. This way you can quickly calculate alternative routes where the 2nd and 3rd option often give a nice route if this is not the case initially.
    2. Adjust the maximum speed of your vehicle configuration: Go to "Settings"> "Route Settings"> Click on the top of your current vehicle, eg "Engine"> Click on the configuration icon> Scroll down, click on the speed , and adjust it to the minimum value of 50 km / h.
    By carrying out the above, main roads are chosen less quickly.

    Avoid urban area
    Do you want to drive through the city as little as possible? There is a truck that you can use to do this with the route settings:
    Set the route type to "Green" in the route settings. Then, within the route settings, click on "Vehicle", then click on the configuration icon at "Engine" and set "Fuel urban" at 1 km / l and "Fuel national" at 40 km / l. Because the software now wants to be "green", it will try to avoid urban areas as much as possible.

    Loading
    your own routes in iGO Primo Have you received a route from someone and do you want to run it on your unit? Which can! Use the " Tire " or " ITN Converter " software for this .
    Transfer the route to a .KML (Google) file and then put it on the following location on your GPS unit:
    \ Primo \ Content \ USERDATA \ ROUTE \
    Start iGO and open the shortcut menu, here you can load the route via the "Load route" or "Route options" option.
    It is always wise to check in the software whether your route points have been placed correctly on the road.

    Accelerating iGO start-up time
    Does it take longer than 30 seconds for the iGO Primo software to start? Then here some handy tips:
    1. The tip above describes where you put your own routes and then loads in iGO. The more routes there are, the longer it takes to start iGO. You can delete these routes, but if you want to save them you can also load them once in iGO and then save them again. The advantage is that you can give the route a logical name, but also that you can load the route faster. They are now stored in a different file in your profile.
    2. If you do not use flash information you could delete the files for this, this speeds up the start-up time considerably. Flash files are in the folder:
    \ Primo \ Content \ Speedcam \
    You can delete all files in that folder.

    Music player
    Do you use the music player and do you also see system sounds in between? Does it sometimes take a long time to start the music player because it is scanning folders?
    There is a solution for this:
    If you have connected the unit to your PC, go to the \ Primo \ folder and open the sys.txt file. Put the following here:

    [oasis]
    exclude_directories = "PICTURE ::% myflashdisk%, PICTURE ::% sdcard%, MUSIC ::% myflashdisk%, MUSIC ::% sdcard%"
    include_directories = "MUSIC ::% sdcard% / Music "

    then save the file.

    Then create a folder called "Music" on the SD card in your GPS unit and place all your music files in it. The code above for your sys.txt ensures that the music player only looks in the "Music" folder

    "Delete" flash information
    Do you want to delete flash information because you are in France, for example?
    There is an "invisible" button for this: Press the screen exactly above the speed button for at least 1 second. You now get the option to move or delete the information. When deleting it is really gone, when moving the information is moved and the information is no longer available for iGO. With both choices, iGO Primo will close itself. If you restart, the unit no longer has flash information. However, if you have chosen to move, press again at least 1 second on the same spot on the screen and you will be given the option to put the flash information back.

    Display street names in 2D instead of the standard 3D balloons:
    Do you prefer street names to be placed in the street itself instead of a balloon that contains the street name as is the case by default? Then place the following in your sys.txt file:

    [3d_config]
    disable_roadsign_navigation_mode = 1; 0 = 3D 1 = 2D

    Recommended Devices, something like this:

    or use any device and "helmet"

    Some devices already have it

    Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.
