I have 1024res data.zip for 3-4 years (its origin dates back to 2010). But wherever I put it, iGO worked in 800 mode.
I compared that data with data from purchase, they differ but not so much. Data from its unit is fresher, smaller, but better detailed.
It is also possible that the device itself (launcher, UI...) is more adapted.
