Certain version of NextGen (and few Primo) access internet for services such as parking, online searching, shop, weather, etc... and believe it or not license verification (part of the "bingo" system) It is normal but I don't think it's required unless you want to use those services. This of course have nothing to do with this version.

Thanks for the information , I was just trying to see what I could run on this radio, I'm super new to this.I would love to set up the weather because I have 4g in my truck.
