You do not need to install Amazon Underground app.

I had no problem to install and use the v8.5.2 version.

Below is what v8.5.2 and v5.6.1 check

As you can see not much differences:

    Hello,

I read that this version is free, but free is not free.
It's necessary to accept many personal permissions, is this true?

    Application Permissions :

    Send SMS messages
    Read the user's contacts data
    Access the flashlight
    Discover and pair bluetooth devices
    Access the vibration feature
Allows sending in-app billing requests and managing in-app billing transactions
    Directly communicate over NFC
    Write to external storage
Allows verification of Google app Entitlements
    Broadcast sticky intents
    Access fine (e.g., GPS) location
    Access location information
    Access coarse (e.g., Cell-ID, Wi-Fi) location
    Change Wi-Fi connectivity state
    Open network sockets
    Access information about networks
Get information about the currently or recently running tasks: a thumbnail representation of the tasks, what activities are running in it, etc
PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming
    Access information about Wi-Fi networks
Required to be able to access the camera device
    Modify global audio settings
    Connect to paired bluetooth devices
    Read from external storage
Read or write the system settings
