As i said previously, don't insert the card until MU asks you to do so. Make sure you have a recent version of MapUpdater, the latest is V3.3.4 and available in the link P#11 here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Old versions before April 2012 don't offer to update files on sd card. Please read the first post above carefully, then proceed as follows:
- Connect nuvi to PC
- Start MapUpdater and wait for it to recognise the nuvi and offer the new map
- Start the update to the unit [and optionally to your PC as well]
- When prompted, insert an 8GB microSD
