TMC on MIO MOOV SPIRIT MODELS with iGO PRIMO 2.4

How to get TMC working:

THIS GUIDE IS FOR MANY MANY MIO MOOV SPIRIT MODELS.

What you have to do?
First unlock Mio Moov Spirit,so:

Unrar & put the folder "Mio Unlocker" on the desktop (pc) and connect your gps/pna on pc.
Run Setup.exe and press install desktop.
(You will see the status "lock" goes from "yes" to "NO").

Into the rar there is a modified "Autorun.mscr" that allows an automatic change on the registry of your pna.
So any time you restart your pna (when on RESET) , it restarts 2 times,it's normal,don't worry!!!

Put your sd card into the pna with primo 2.4 inside.(Delete any SAVE folder, add all files,licenses,content,data etc and obviously tmc licenses)
Add dimka skin 1.7.4.
After this you have to create a shortcut on the Desktop of your pna:
From your pc go to Mio Spirit 575 and follow
Program Files/Unlock/Desktop/Name of your folder where is P2.4. and in this folder put the shortcut Primo 2.4 of the .exe (its a .lnk file).

Let's go to PRIMO 2.4 now:
Delete any SAVE folder from primo.
Run the program & after the configuration go to Settings/Display and as Scheme Night & Day both select dimka skin 1.7.4.
Restart your pna so dimka skin takes effect.
After turn of primo and connect your pna to pc.
Go to PRIMO folder and in save/profiles/01/userlists add tmc_stations.txt file
Add also dll files to the root of primo. (where is the .exe)

Start your primo.exe and on TMC select as scan mode Auto(Scan+List)tuner mode.
Attention:You have to connect your TMC receiver 3-5 seconds after the start and appearance of P_2.4 on your pna.

Have fun.

PS:All this files & info are collected from the net by various contributors (thanks all of them) and connected&modified ,to be working on mio moov spirits models pna.

Thanks Saviano, my tmc seems to work!

But I still have a few questions. If I click on a specific tmc message to see the details, Primo crashes and my device restarts... Is that normal? Can it be fixed?

Also if I click this button Primo crashes: 21392199954 22c875bcd3 t

And when Primo suggests a new route because of traffic jam, and asks me if I want to see the new route, I click on yes and Primo crashes again!!

I really like the default skin better than the Dimka one, is it possible to use? Or are there other skins available which work with TMC?

The french wince primo 2.4 skins also work with tmc. They are Bidru, dreamteam and phénix.

@ costas3850: I was first using the VisualGPS unlock method, and there the (physical) on/off switch was working. But I switched to the unlock method mentioned by saviano, because of the TMC. With his unlock method, the on/off switch on my Mio device was not working anymore. His solution in post #8 is not optimal for me, because I still have to quit primo first and then click the poweroff link.
I found a method (see attachment) which restores the function of the (physical) on/off switch. With this method I can switch off my device while Primo is still running, and switch it on again, and Primo resumes where it was left!

I use ONLY Dimka skin & i don't have crashes.
What .exe did you use?
Try the latest .exe 9.6.13.405512.
Also how is your sys?
What files did you have in your storage card?
Data.branding,etc?

Ok, my version is 9.6.13.267029. Where do I find the latest one?
My sys file looks like this:

For the latest exe just search the forum.....
Where did you get P.2.4?
Take it from

Thanks Saviano, I installed the Honda Civic Primo from your link and now Primo doesn't crash anymore when I click on a tmc message!

I have one other question: If I switch my Mio device off (not reset) nothing happens... primo keeps running. Is this because of this unlock method? Or has it something to do with primo? Can this be changed??

Happy to see that you did it!!!!!
Now if you want (am sure that you do

):
Connect your pna on pc. Go to Mio Spirit 575.
Put on Program Files/Unlock/PowerOff.exe

Also the shortcut PowerOff.lnk as you did for Primo exe on:
Program Files/Unlock/Desktop

So turn your pna "OFF" & press on PowerOff. Pna wiil be shutdown (something like standby).
So next time just turn ON your pna and are you ready to go!!!

(avoid 2 times restarting...
