    Hello tp2168,

I have a similar android head unit (KLD2 Dual core / KitKat 4.4.4).
Are you using the TTS Pro voices on this igo build? If so, can you please report if you have any issues with the sound.
For example, with my head unit - when I try to use the TTS Pro voices my music (radio or mp3) never mutes, or lowers volume. Basically the TTS voice speaks over the music at the same volume level. It is very hard to understand.

Do you have any issues with TTS Pro voices (english)?

    Thanks,
    ggee

    Mate gguevara,
I guess, your Head Unit should have volume control or Gain option wherein you can select volume levels of Navigation Voice and Media Voice separately. You can lower media volume up to say 85% and Navigation Volume upto 100% to hear TTS voice clearly.
I have Blaupunkt Capetown 945 and had similar problem - which I resolved in suggested way.

    Try it out.
    Regards,
    Dinesh

    Hello,

I see that this igo build has english tts pro voices in the igo/contents/voice folder. So this tells me there are tts voices for the igo primo side.

However, are you using any tts voice engine for the android side? What are you using for the android side, and how is it set up (meaning what tts engine files and folders are used, folder structure)?

    Thanks,
    Galo

    To gguevara

Change the Settings > GPS Application Options select iGO, this works for me on my Android head unit.

    Hi,

I think you misunderstood my question. I understand the screen shots you attached. However, that is not what I was asking.
When you open iGO, and so to the sound and voice settings - are you using regular voices or TTS voices?

In other words, in iGo volume and voice settings do you see the TTS Pro option available? Another way to know if you are using TTS voices is if the navigation voice also says the street name. Does it say the street names when directing you (for example - turn left on to Main Street), or does it only say turn left or right (with no street names)?

    Thanks,
    ggee

    Hello dinesh,

Yes, my Eonon G2110F android head unit has the setting you are referring to. I can either choose for the music to mute when the GPS speaks, or to lower xx% when the GPS speaks. When using IGO Primo with the regular voices, everything functions properly. My music mutes when the regular GPS voice is speaking.

However, when I use a TTS Pro voice - the music does not mute when the GPS is speaking. Instead, the TTS Pro voice and the music continue playing at the same time. This makes it hard to hear the directions.

    ggee
