Giomen, very useful your intervention, however i reiterate that the 006B048201.bin firmware is of the GTM25. As I said, there are two variants of GTM25 (see screenshots) with different firmwares, where a fw does not support the firmware of another. One has Product ID 482 and other Product ID 901. Considering how reliable your information, which seems to be, we can say that one of these GTM25 is Generation 2 and the other Generation 3. Are different, by source firmwares, as indicated by the garmin's website which has separate specifics files: FirmwareUpdateforGTMxxTrafficReceiverType3_290.gcd (ID 901) and FirmwareUpdateforGTMxxTrafficReceiver_550.rgn (ID 482 and ?). The 006B048201.bin firmware I used for GTM25 ID 482 (generation 2) and 006B090100.GCD fw for the GTM 25 ID 901 (generation 3).
If you check both firmware with a hex editor, you'll notice the correspondence to each specific model. For example, the 006B048201.bin have the same SYS Ver 550 of the GTM25 ID482 (see screenshots). The question of the generation is also confirmed by the hex editor, which indicates GTMxx G3 in the fw of GTM25 ID 901.
In short, the 006B048201.bin is firmware of the GTM 25 ID 482, as seen from the screenshots and analyze of the hex editor, and should be, according to his information,
also firmware of GTMs 10/12 (generation 1) and 20/21 (Generation 2), ie, a upgrade firmware that covers an entire family of TMC receivers, something to confirm..
P.S.: is also very likely that files like 006B048201.bin are generic files names and of distinctive content that are read by the operating system to update of different GTM receivers, in the same way that the gupdate.gcd serve as a vehicle for updating firmware for different GPS's models.
