    Hello.

Nexus 7 2013, Android 6.0: Garmin (every available version) force closes immediately, not even black screen for asecond Same with Navitel, BTW. 7Ways, however, works...
    logcat:

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
    ----

    Also, there was this line:
    10-08 17:12:36.385 W/PackageManager( 1372): Not granting permission android.permission.WRITE_MEDIA_STORAGE to package com.garmin.android.apps.gmobilext (protectionLevel=18 flags=0x1808be44)
however platform.xml is already patched for SDCard access, and other appshave no problems with that.

    Thank you for your time,
    WBR - Drakosha.

Looks like Android 6.0 is no longer backward compatible. Its missing a symbol/function SP uses. Maybe there is equivalent replacement or they scraped it. I don't have any good experience with this type of problem.

Hello all and so many thanks to all the people that worked hard to make Street Pilot available on regular android devices

Such a shame that Garmin doesn't want to allow regular android users to have access to Street Pilot !
I would be ready to pay the price of a standalone gps device for the app if it was available on play store... never mind !

But it would be so nice to have Street Pilot work on Android 6+ !

As for me, I don't have the skills, but it seems that some XDA gurus have understood and even solved the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for other apps that stopped to work on Android 6. Looks like it is possible to patch and "to reintroduce the old type for "writeString16" for char16_t that is now a default defined type in c11" so the app can work again ?

I don't really understand it ... but maybe all hope is not lost ?

Maybe someone can investigate this ? Or we could ask for help on XDA board ?

    Just my two cents

Hello! My phone "Sony M2 D2302" Android Version: 5.1.1 Screen Resolution 960x540. Currently I am using v2.37 apk Streetpilot 2.37 from the first page of this post.

I do not see: GPS signal icon, Battery icon, and so on. Their black bar closes. What could be the problem ?
