I have a Garmin GPSMAP 541s and I have a Bluechart G2 sd card can I make a copy of this for my other GPSMAP unit, any help would be appricated , Thanks

does anybody know how to:

- open a .gma file
- modify the .gma file
- where the . gma file directory is

Hi everybody, hopefully im posting in the right place....

I have a nuvi 205w, i have downloaded an unlocked gmapsupp.img of garmin Europe city nav NT 2010.30 , i have put my SD card into a card reader and plugged it into my PC and then created a folder named "garmin", i have placed the unlocked gmapsupp.img into this folder on the SD card.

When i plug the SD card into the nuvi 205w the maps do not show up under the maps section.........

any ideas as to why they are not showing at all ??? any help would be greatly appreciated

recommend use Europe 2011.20
if you have a map in internal menory in the garmin directory---that is attempting to display the same area--please remove it.

every time your gps sees a different map-for the first time it adds its map segments to a internal table-
eventually that table becomes full and must be reset before more maps can be added-

when the map segment table gets close to full--expect locking up with a black screen-trouble locking on to sattlites
and won't load any more maps.

the problem is very common on very large maps --like europe.

try powering up--while pressing the lower right corner for 15 seconds--that will cause a factory reset--
it won't delete any maps but will delete all saved data---

Good morning:
I am not expert in GPS and new in the forum. I downloaded City Navigator Europe 2010 and I exceuted part 1, requesting to me to introduce part 2 latter part 3 and at at a certain moment I got the message "CNEUNT 2010=11 unlocked gmapsupp.imag is not an valid Map source file and it will be clossed".
Some one can tell me how to solve this problem??
I am having already installed in my PC "Map source and City Select". Could be this interfering with the installation of City Navigator??
