Yes, use this version. The unicode version won't work properly in your 205W. The separate Ireland and UK only images from bam-bam's Post #6 will do fine for you as you don't need any other files such as JCV. With latest firmware you can even put both in a Garmin folder on an SD card named gmapsupp.img and gmapsup1.img if you like.

Hi Neil, many thanks for your reply. I've downloaded CN Europe NT 2014.40 United Kingdom from post #6 as you suggested so hoping that will work. I probably need to update the firmware too as my nuvi 205w is a few years old, just need to figure out how to do that though

Ah, so that's how to do it! I had already downloaded the firmware file (ver 7.60, after checking the chip ID for my nuvi 205W to make sure it was the correct firmware version), but didn't know how to flash the device. Originally Posted by rquick
