Reason: added links
I put it in my nuvi 1300, and works
I put it in a sd card, and Homeport read it fine
But in the same sd (inside garmin folder) don't work in a gpsmap 440s
Anyone knows why?
How have you placed and named it can depend on whether it can be be recognised. A nuvi 1300 can see anyname.img maps in a Map folder as well as gmapsupp.img in a Garmin folder on a microSD. The latter name and SD placement should be ok with your GPSMap440s [sd:\Garmin\gmapsupp.img]. HomePort can see any file with the correct .img extension and isn't name dependent.

In Windows, go to Control Panel>Folder Options>View and ensure that 'Hide extensions for known file types' is unchecked.
