    So... how do I actually get Junction View to show on a Nuvi 50? I tried the large version and the one linked above for the Nuvi 30/40/50, both were a no go . I have put the JCV files in the .system\JCV folder. Actually I haven't seen junction view for a long time. I tried googling it but what results that did come back were from people with a similar issue, but with no solution!

    @thatguy82b

    Nowhere near all 'junctions' have a 'view', it's a somewhat misleading term used by Garmin in that respect. Pics. are of some major interchanges/exits on major highways/freeways. Even the large PhotoReal file has very few pics and it's up around 50,000 KB although hi-res, but it won't work in your Nuvi 50 anyway. The only one that will work in 30/4x/5x is the much smaller D3532040A.JCV (only 7136 KB, but in lower resolution) and it has hardly any views at all.

    To test it on your 50, you need to know where there is a JCV pic for sure, or you'll be burning a lot of dinosaur juice or watching in simulation mode for a long time. To save time, set your location to Gaza Road Tarraginda Qld (just ignore the street number, enter thru it) then simulate a route to Klummp Road Upper Mount Gravatt. You can scroll thru the route a couple of presses to find it, and when you see the 'Junction View' words lit up at the bottom of the screen, press on them and you'll see this:

    City Navigator Australia & New Zealand NT 2013.40

    or, you can just let it run for a couple of minutes and it will show you this:

    Thanks! I must have copied the wrong JCV file to the JCV folder (they are tied to the maps?). The intersection where I knew there was a junction view and it wasn't working (it just came up with a white screen when manually viewing it) was entering the Southern Expressway in Adelaide. I also tried the intersection you were referring to via simulation with the same result. After re-extracting the JCV file from the above link and placing it in the JCV folder (and deleting what was in there) it now works like it should (via simulation)! I think it didn't work because I might have had both JCV files in the folder (the large one plus the Nuvi 30/40/50 specific one).

    Yes, jcv files are both device and map version specific. And even if you have the correct file but have also left an old/wrong one in the JCV folder there will be problems as you found.
