Ok verde and catymag
That's what I wrote when I was editing my previous post....
So, I doubt there is a proper solution...
I confirm, with UAC disabled drag&drop works
You have to navigate to get to the good.

Well, I am reassured now! I can quit and go to bed!!Ok I'll live without drag&drop in Typviewer
Yes, that's a good question ..... and I am not sure of the answer. Why has it elevated privileges?
Since a few days, I wonder if it is required...
As far as I remember, I have given elevated privileges to TYPViewer in order to install or modify typ in every case.: even when they are located in C:\ or C:\ProgramFiles.
But, now, no maps are installed in Programfiles so , maybe, it is not necessary now.
If you want to try, here is the last version, without elevated privileges (in the manifest I have replaced "highestAvailable" by "asInvoker" so in this version TYPViewer always has the privileges of the user)
Spoiler:
Edit: This version does not work (TYPViewer does not have the permissions for deleting/writing the .save file ) unless TYPViewer is launched as Administrator .Please wait for next version.

I already run TypViewer without elevated privileges. I use settings in registry:
In this case Windows moves *.save file to VirtualStore. You will get similar behavior if you remove manifest at all, but I think better solution is to get own subdirectory in user data directory.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
Yes, in fact, i never use those *.save .In this case Windows moves *.save file to VirtualStore. You will get similar behavior if you remove manifest at all, but I think better solution is to get own subdirectory in user data directory.
I created this before UAC exists and I had found easier to put this file in the app directory. With UAC, its different and I don't like virtualisation so i think, like you, that the best solution is to put this file in the user data directory.
Then, i don't know what is the better solution: no manifest or manifest with RUNASINVOKER...
And thank you for your remark about the registry: I have made before several tests with manifests and the results were incomprehensible: in fact, on my machine, this registry key was on RUNASADMIN and , even after modifying the manifest to RUNASINVOKER and reinstalling TYPViewer this key remains the same!! I delete the key, install TYPViewer (with manifest set as RUNASINVOKER) and now the key as the correct value, corresponding to the manifest...
