Default TomTom Go iPhone app maps

I downloaded the TomTom Go app and some maps from the Apple Store today and spent some time looking for information about the subscription service for the iPhone. While I found the cost I did not find out how often a subscriber got to download updated maps. I also did not find out if the subscription fee for iOS entitles the user to use it on multiple phones, or only on one at a time.

I also wanted to know if paying the subscription fee entitles the user to an Android version or if that fee is separate, but I am not sure that is a proper question for the iOS forum.

I did do several searches of the forum looking for this answer but could find nothing searching for what seemed like proper key words.

You need to ask that question at the TomTom Forum.

What am I missing here? This is the TomTom iOS forum and my question is about using the TomTom iPhone app. I would think that this is the correct place for the questions.

I asked if the app could be used on multiple phones, and that meant multiple iPhones, so does one subscription mean that I can use it on my iPhone XR and my wife can use it on her iPhone 8+? Or do I need multiple subscriptions for that? And if a single subscription works for 2 iPhones can it be used on both simultaneously? Or can it only be used on one phone at a time?

Did you try reading the posts from "lampard" on the TomTom Forum about Using iPhone subscription?????

Try reading post 4 from "lampard"......

gpspower has nothing to do with iPhone subscription to TomTom Go or any other Tomtom products be it iOS or Android.
Those questions can only be answered by TomTom........

And here is a quote from "lampard" post 4 on the link I posted for you.

"I believe you have the GO Navigation app on your iPhone?
It is not possible to buy one subscription and use it on multiple devices/platforms,
even the family sharing with Apple doesn't support the sharing of App Purchases among family members.

    Regards, lampard"

    Map update info see link:

    Spoiler: Be Iphone or Android.

Plus you can always send an email to TomTom asking about this info.
And every thing is based on subscription you signup for.

And here at the apple store:

    Spoiler: Info in updates

I think this should answer your question that you could not find......... at Apple Store

    > Try reading post 4 from "lampard"......

Thank you. But before posting the question I did a search for a bunch of key words including subscription, fee, maps and others, but found nothing. Had I found the post you referenced I would not have posted my question.

    > Plus you can always send an email to TomTom asking about this info.

I did that as well before posting my question. When I did not get a response (and I still have not) I posted assuming that if I could not find any corresponding post and if TomTom would not respond to my question, then the only choice I had was to ask on this forum.

    > I think this should answer your question that you could not find......... at Apple Store

It did answer my question, and I am grateful for the information. However I do not know why you are suggesting I was asking the Apple Store. This is the TomTom iOS forum so it seems to me to be the appropriate place for questions about TomTom on the iOS platform, and that is the iPhone and iPad. Perhaps I am reading more into these posts than was intended (and if I am I apologize) but some seem almost hostile and I don't know why. Where else should I ask questions about the TomTom iPhone app other than the TomTom iOS forum?

No, this is not "TomTom iOS forum"
This is a Forum dedicated to navigation software and devices in global. A diverse world community.

This section also applies to navigation software dedicated to IOS based devices, exclusively on the user side.

We have nothing to do with them, no employees, no one pays us.

    End of story

    P.S.
As far as I can see, you also had misconceptions in your topic dedicated to Sygic.
For all questions concerning the applications and devices themselves, their relationships and problems, questions are asked exclusively on official forums.
Their links are always posted on official sites.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Spoiler: obs
Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.
