Default TomTom GO 510 Blown diode

Connected an old TomTom GO 510 via car charger and tomtom sparked found out was wrong charger 9volt output and not the 5volt it should have been...
Took it apart and found this a part of mainboard was black and a diode seemed to be burned out...I think this is it (ZA SOD-123 6.2V Zener Diode) I have added an image not of my board but mine has the same part blown...
PS Tom tom still charges from wall charger and turns on etc...but dont know if it would be safe to use long term what do you think?

As soon as the applied voltage exceeds the breakdown voltage, the diode starts conducting.
The voltage across the zener diode then remains more or less constant.
A zener diode can be used as a result of this effect to limit an electrical voltage to a desired value.
