Well, where to start with how awful it is.

There's far too much white space forcing people to scroll more. About twice as much i reckon.
Clicking on a post takes you to first post in a thread, with no option for the most recent. Not too helpful in a thread with over a thousand posts.
Keyboard options of Ctrl-click and Shft-click have been disabled. Why? It's really useful.

Any chance of the old interface being reinstated? Please?

What theme are you using?

By the way, the Forum has already changed/upgraded the mechanism twice, of course it cannot be returned to the old engine

I am using whatever theme was presented as standard a few days ago when things changed. I can see no option for different themes.

What about genuinely useful things that no longer work such as-

Click the icon, it's always been there if there's new posts.

There are only 3 themes normal, GPS 2 and Mobile 3.
Use quick links and today's post gives you most recent.
As far as I am concerned, nothing has changed.
Ctrl-click and Shift-click ?

Are these themes only available for mobiles as I only use a laptop? The new dreadful look seems to indicate that the site is now optimised for mobile use.

Your unfamiliarity with Ctrl-click and Shift-click indicates that you don't use a proper computer. Most likely a phone I suppose. I have no idea how the site displays on a tablet.

Is this, in fact, only a problem for people who use computers? Surely I can't be the only person using a computer who has a problem?

I never use phones, no problem here on computers and laptops.

I did some screen shots but even going into advanced menu to reply there's no option to attach images so I can't show them to you! I can say that the small round icon that indicates a new post is not there for me.

@ Wirralian I use a PC desktop running Win 10 LTSC and Have never had a problem with this Forum or any other, other than to issues with EU Cloudflare, I use shift & ctrl all the time doing Admin stuff.

This is the bottom of the home page and I use the GPSPower 2 fixed so I assume you are using the vB4 Default style, this forum is using an old version now as the only version it can be updated to is 4.2.5 this forum is on 4.2.4 and has been since 2017.
