how to read the flash

Some old garmin gps flash disk can not be shown on Pc, is there a tool to read the flash like a usb mass storage?

It's not possible to "read" like modern devices can be read in Mass Storage or Media Transfer Protocol, however there are tools that can dump regions and then using various other tools or tricks those region copies can be converted to actual files. For instance the primary detail map region 49 can have the gmapprom.img extracted. One old software i've had success with is [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. It quite depends of what you wish to achieve and also which device you're working with. Thanks Butters, is there a method that can flash the 520Hcx from english to Chinese, i can not find the chinese firmware.

I don't think that there's any Chinese firmware for Rino 5x0Hcx.

I have a chinese rino520hcx, it can update with garmin webupdater, but i flash it to english.
Now can not find the chinese fm, so, i want to read flash.
