Yes this is the original version for South America.
It is not the Mod version.

Where have you been you should know this by now.

The originals does not need patching.
The Mod is a special version of TomTom NDS

I knew this artical but never heard about it after. Now I have a Toyota that supports SDL on the media system and my phone should support it also (I have heard). But till now I am not able to connect both. That's why I ask my question. The TomTom App works fine, every version. Never ask a question about that.
I hope your satified now about my explanation.
