    help question regarding tomtom go mobile maps

    hi there,

    since a few months i have been using tomtom mobile go, on my phone and my car headunit (android as well).
    Now i run into the following annoying thing; when there is a map update, my phone tells me i can download it, and all goes well.
    The car headunit, will give the same notification, BUT when i want to download it onto that, the wifi connection is so slow and stutters so much (tried 3 networks, at home, at work and at my parents house) that it takes hours and hours to finish downloading the map. It took so long last time that i have connected the battery charger to my car and let it download overnight. (not a good feeling, knowing my car is in front of the house, doors unlocked and ignition key is in).

    Is there a way to download the tomtom GO mobile maps, on a pc and then copy it trough an usb stick or sd card onto my headunit ?
    i have found the location of the maps on my phone, but that seems to be different than the location on my car headunit.

    @HansNL,

    I quote you:

    There is no way to copy over maps or download them to the PC it will not work.

    Plus TomTomGo is not setup to work on any head unit and work correctly.

    It is not supported by TomTom.

    Take you timer and go over to the TomTom forum and you will see how many user's have tried to make it work on a Head Unit.

    Some have some success other's only run into problems of one type or another.

    As you are having.
