Install TTS on Chinese Double din with Igo Primo 9.6.29.636868 (March 3, 2016) ?

Hi, I got a Chinese double din head unit with Andriod 8.0. It came with Igo Primo 9.6.29.636868 pre installed in the internal memory! It doesn't have a SD CARD SLOT! It didn't come with TTS and I want to add it. I Have been trying for a couple of days now and cant figure out how to do it. I tried. VocalizerEX, VocalizerEX2 and nuance1 found here and I just cant get it to work! The TTS PRO is GREYED OUT in vocies! Is there a STEP by STEP manual here that I could follow ! Is the NEXTGEN version the same as Primo? I had TTS working of a sd card on my WINCE 6.0 head unit! Does it make a difference that its installed on the internal memory! ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated!

Hmmm, something like this:

But, unit have USB, BT and WiFi. You can transfer files over all three interfaces. Install first some good file manager (X-plorer, Total Commander...).
Very strange things:
- version of iGO (never heard about it)
- If it is really Primo, it will be the very first version that function on Oreo
As I can see - it is intended for to connect to internet, and download any navigation software you want. Of course, the alternative is to insert a "popular" versions (NG) through the available connections. Unit have plenty of space.

I see I put the wrong build number in the Original post " Igo Primo 9.6.29.636.636868" it's supposed to be" Igo Primo 9.6.29.636868". Sorry for the confusion ! Is there any way for me to edit that?

Hi. I made some progress today. I got the tts to work by downloading Code Factory Vocalizer from your thread

However the sound is real low and in the volume section of IGo the slider to increase the volume is missing when I use the TTS vocies!

There is no extra slider for TTS voice in program.
You can increase TTS voice level in Android settings - Text-to-speech - Vocalizer TTS settings.
Increase "WAV amplitude" from default 80 to 100, which will give you additional ~2 dB.

You can also try to change audio stream in sys.txt:

No, try changing value of navigation_audio_stream, and commented lines with ";" at beginning are only explanation of those values.

OK. I tried changing the VALUE all the way up to 7 and It didn't change ! I guess maybe it's not meant to be! Do you know of any Nextgen builds that support TTS and 1024x600 screen res? All the ones I see have 800x480!

When you change those values, you change audio streams which program is using.
Then, on Android (phone, tablet, ...) you can regulate loudness of some different streams separately (music, alarm, notification).
Try to do it with your HU.

If HU does not have specific mixer for regulation, that it is only way to regulate loudness level between them, or there is no way to do this.

All NextGen are supporting TTS and all resolutions.

Ok. I gave up on trying to get TTS working on " Igo Primo 9.6.29.636868". So now im trying to get it working on Basarsoft 9.18'27.736653 June 19. 2018 version! I've been trying for a week now and still cant get it to work! I tried VocalizerEX but when I select it in language is says ENGLISH is not supported! I put VolalizerTTS and I can chose it in Language but I dont see any TTs Voices when I select voices from the app. It just 2 vocies that are lua file voices ! I'm lost at what to try now! Is there any versions out there that has TTS voices included in the download? Maybe If I could see the file system of one thats working then I could see what im doing wrong! Anyway if anyone could point me in the right direction It would be greatly appreciated ! Igo on my WinCE 6.0 was SO much easier!

In Android settings -> Language & Input -> Text-to-speech output, select your TTS engine, and then configure it (language, voice, ...).
There you have test: Listen to example.
When working there and if you have TTS voice file for that language in voice folder of app, then it should be available in app.
