Search capabilities on a comprehensive list of Points of Interest (POI) such as service stations, banks, businesses etc and street addresses (street addresses only currently available for South Africa) allow you to quickly find and route to your destination. The Digital Elevation Modelling (DEM) version of Southern Africa Streetmaps gives an enhanced 3D-effect to the maps when used on a compatible product (please check with your supplier or GDA for a list of compatible models). This product includes the full street map data from Southern Africa Streetmaps, combined with elevation shading information and 200m contours.

I'm trying to install Garmap Southern Africa Topo & Rec 2011.3 and I do exactly as :
"Extract .EXE file with WinRAR, and go SA Topo Rec\setup.zip that contain GMAP folder inside setup.zip
FID 4612"

only that I can't find any installer, nothing to run inside that setup.zip

I have two Garmin directories:
C:\Garmin
C:\Programdata\GARMIN\Maps

The SA Topo Rec 2011.gmap (Topo map in this case) has to be copied into the latter directory (mine was empty) and unlocked by copying the unlock_mapset.exe file (download on page 1) into the SA Topo Rec 2011.gmap directory and running it. The map will now show up when you open Mapsource.

From there you can transfer it to the GPS.

I have unlocked the map and it shows in Mapsource unlockable but once Ive tranfered it to my Nuvi 1410 the Nuve shows on startup " Cant unlock maps"

(in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps)
unlock with

Hello catymag, thank you for your help. Running windows 7, followed your instruction, placed unlocker in gmap folder and let it run. Opened Mapsource and maps don't appear. Any ideas?

UPDATE: Figured it out! Installed patched Mapsource.exe.
